Album Notes & Community Reviews
Capturing the legendary guitarist at the height of his polished, brass-backed period, this collection relies heavily on sophisticated, swinging arrangements. His signature stinging vibrato and impassioned vocals elevate a repertoire of standards and swinging jump blues numbers. The record perfectly bridges the gap between deep Mississippi grit and urbane, big-band elegance.
