Album Notes & Community Reviews
On 'I Lie Here Buried With My Rings and My Dresses', Backxwash delivers a relentless and searing fusion of industrial metal, horrorcore, and experimental hip-hop. The album's production, primarily handled by the artist, is abrasive and crushing, creating a torturous soundscape for her ferocious, aggressive vocal delivery. Lyrically, the work is a harrowing exploration of personal pain, faith, gender identity, and addiction, confronting inner demons and societal oppression with unflinching honesty.
