Operating firmly in their Brian Howe-fronted era, the veteran rock act delivered another collection of highly polished, radio-friendly anthems. 'Here Comes Trouble' largely eschews the gritty, blues-based swagger of their 1970s prime in favor of slick, synthesizer-tinged AOR ballads and melodic stadium rock. The album proved to be Howe's final studio recording with the band before his acrimonious departure.
