Album Notes & Community Reviews
Returning after a five-year hiatus and the departure of founding member Matthew Tavares, the Canadian trio shifted focus entirely to largely improvised, instrumental jazz. Enlisting Brazilian composer Arthur Verocai to provide sweeping orchestral arrangements, the record explores technical, deeply emotive chamber jazz without the vocal features that marked their previous era. It represents a highly matured, cinematic phase for the acclaimed crossover group.
