Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in West Germany, this exquisite solo acoustic session captures the Brazilian guitar virtuoso at the absolute peak of his technical and emotional powers. Stripped of all accompanying instrumentation, the stark arrangements highlight his intense, classical fingerpicking style and his profound ability to blend Afro-Brazilian rhythms with sophisticated jazz harmonies. The intimacy of the recording provides a deeply melancholic, mesmerizing portrait of his singular genius.
