Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Brooklyn-based post-punk trio leans heavily into cinematic, Southern Gothic aesthetics for their dark, conceptual fourth album. Frontman Reid Bateh delivers incredibly detailed, violent narrative vignettes that mirror the bleak realism of authors like Flannery O'Connor or Cormac McCarthy. The instrumentation features prominent surf-rock guitars and prominent brass, crafting a deeply atmospheric, nightmarish soundscape.
