Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking her first entirely independent release, 'Serpentina' finds the alternative R&B artist taking significantly more control over her production and sonic direction. The record steps slightly away from the oppressive, brooding electronics of her previous work, incorporating brighter gospel influences, acoustic strings, and rapid-fire vocal cadences. The album documents a deeply personal process of emotional shedding and self-renewal.
