Album Notes & Community Reviews

Highlighted by its incredibly smooth, understated title track, the artist merges gentle rhythm and blues with sophisticated Brill Building pop sensibilities. The production frequently employs delicate Hammond organ lines and subtle, airy background harmonies, deliberately avoiding the booming Wall of Sound aesthetics. The collection established a crucial, highly romantic blueprint for polished Northern soul.
