Album Notes & Community Reviews

Reduced to a trio following the departure of keyboardist Woolly Wolstenholme, 'Eyes of the Universe' sees the group largely abandoning their pastoral symphonic roots. The production relies heavily on modern polyphonic synthesizers and driving rock beats, resulting in a streamlined, highly melodic pop-rock sound. The stylistic shift alienated some early fans but secured massive commercial success across continental Europe, particularly in Germany.
