Gone to Earth

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Often jokingly referred to as a 'poor man's Moody Blues,' the British symphonic rock group achieved massive, unprecedented success in Germany with this sweeping, highly melodic release. The album leans heavily away from complex progressive suites in favor of lush, orchestral soft-rock ballads and soaring guitar solos. The record's melancholic, deeply romantic atmosphere resonated intensely with mainland European audiences, ensuring their long-term commercial survival.
