Album Notes & Community Reviews

Capitalizing on the massive success of the Billy Wilder film, the renowned West Coast guitarist reinterprets a selection of 1920s jazz standards featured in the movie. Joined by an all-star ensemble including Art Pepper, the swinging, lightly modernized arrangements inject the antique material with crisp bop sensibilities. The album is a joyous, impeccably executed intersection of Hollywood pop culture and serious jazz.
