Album Notes & Community Reviews
Stepping momentarily away from his duties fronting Golden Earring, the vocalist delivers a deeply eccentric, progressive exploration on 'Only Parrots, Frogs and Angels'. The solo project abandons straight-ahead hard rock in favor of atmospheric, synthesizer-laced compositions focusing heavily on natural and psychedelic imagery. It remains a fascinating, highly experimental detour that reveals a broader compositional ambition.
