Album Notes & Community Reviews

Driven by its legendary, self-referential title track, this album parodies the very genre the songwriter helped perfect in the Brill Building. The collection features a mix of upbeat novelties and earnest ballads, all anchored by elaborate, playful vocal harmonies. It serves as a fascinating, meta-textual artifact of early 1960s pop music culture.
