Album Notes & Community Reviews

Capitalizing on massive viral success, the British-Filipino artist fully sheds her bedroom-pop origins for a heavy, polished homage to 1990s alternative rock. The record is packed with distorted power chords, angst-driven lyricism, and soaring, melodic choruses reminiscent of acts like The Smashing Pumpkins and Veruca Salt. It established her as a leading figure in the ongoing revival of grunge and shoegaze aesthetics.
