Album Notes & Community Reviews

Backed by the massive promotional push of Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella label, the Philadelphia MC delivered a deeply uncompromising, aggressively street-oriented solo debut. 'The Truth' is anchored by Sigel's incredibly gravelly, commanding vocal delivery and slick, soul-sampling production heavily handled by Just Blaze. The critically acclaimed release firmly established him as a heavyweight lyrical force within the East Coast gangsta rap scene.
