Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating distinctly outside the typical Dutch alternative scene, Beef delivers a highly propulsive, intensely repetitive barrage of experimental guitar music on 'Tongues'. The album completely relies on rigid, krautrock-indebted motorik rhythms to anchor massive, swirling walls of heavily distorted noise-rock dissonance. It remains a fascinatingly hypnotic, heavily underground triumph of mid-90s European post-rock.
