Album Notes & Community Reviews

Taking their name from John Gay's 18th-century satirical ballad opera, the Scottish quintet offered a dizzying, highly energetic interpretation of classical-rock fusion. Characterized by Alan Park's blistering Hammond organ transcriptions of classical motifs and Ricky Gardiner's fuzz guitar, their debut captures the frantic, virtuosic ambition of the early symphonic prog era.
