B茅la Fleck's first solo album since 'Places', 'Tales from the Acoustic Planet' pairs him with bluegrass players Sam Bush, Tony Rice and Jerry Douglas and with jazz guests Chick Corea, Branford Marsalis and Paul McCandless. Flecktones Victor Wooten and Roy 'Future Man' Wooten anchor several tracks, and the fourteen pieces were drawn from compositions Fleck had kept in his private stock over the previous twenty years.
