Seeking to follow up the massive global success of 'Heaven on Earth', the former Go-Go's vocalist delivered a slightly more mature, heavily polished album of adult-contemporary pop-rock. Featuring prominent contributions from George Harrison and Bryan Adams, 'Runaway Horses' embraces sweeping, cinematic production and huge, romantic choruses. While commercially massive in Europe, it marked a slight decline in her American chart dominance.
