Stygian Bough: Volume II

As the second installment of their collaborative project, 'Stygian Bough: Volume II' finds funeral doom duo Bell Witch and dark folk artist Aerial Ruin achieving a more organic and cohesive fusion of their distinct sounds. The album's four expansive tracks, recorded with producer Billy Anderson, build upon the foundation of the first volume, blending colossal, slow-tempo doom with ethereal, reverb-drenched folk harmonies and acoustic passages. Thematically, the album explores concepts of worship, awe, and mythology, using the interplay between crushing bass, sparse percussion, and plaintive vocals to create a soundscape that is both heavy and atmospheric.
