Album Notes & Community Reviews

Utilizing a string quartet arranged by Johnny Richards rather than a full orchestra, 'The Warm Moods' surrounds Ben Webster's colossal tenor saxophone tone in an intimately lush setting. The album is a masterclass in ballad interpretation, displaying Webster's signature breathiness, heavy vibrato, and profound emotional authority.
