Album Notes & Community Reviews
Pivoting away from the massive orchestration of his big band, the clarinettist leads a tightly integrated small group featuring exceptional improvisational talent. The format allows for extended, fluid soloing and intricate, spontaneous interaction between the instrumentalists. The sessions highlight the pinnacle of mature, highly polished chamber swing.
