Album Notes & Community Reviews

Prior to joining forces with Walter Westrupp, the pioneering German troubadour released this uniquely dark, acoustic solo debut on the legendary Ohr label. Grounded in the politically charged 'Liedermacher' tradition, the songs weave macabre, poetic narratives using sparse instrumentation and an intensely theatrical vocal delivery. It serves as an essential acoustic precursor to the expansive Kraut-folk experiments that would soon follow.
