Album Notes & Community Reviews

Focusing heavily on traditional British and Scottish folk ballads, Bert Jansch applies his complex, jazz-inflected fingerpicking to historical narratives. The title track features extended instrumental passages and John Renbourn's accompanying guitar, laying the groundwork for the duo's later work in Pentangle.
