Concluding their ambitious conceptual double-album, the North Carolina progressive metal titans lean into significantly darker, more experimental territory. The incredibly eclectic final half features completely unhinged avant-garde jazz breaks, sprawling orchestral melodies, and their signature hyper-complex, mathy riffing. It acts as a wildly unpredictable, deeply satisfying resolution to the dense science fiction narrative.
