Album Notes & Community Reviews

Perfecting the orchestral indie pop aesthetic of the Elephant 6 collective, the San Francisco ensemble delivered a sun-drenched, heavily arranged masterpiece. 'The Coast Is Never Clear' contrasts intensely bright, 1960s-inspired horn sections and buoyant melodies with deeply cynical, lovelorn lyricism, capturing a complex, bittersweet summer atmosphere.
