Album Notes & Community Reviews

Arriving nearly two decades after his last studio release, the pioneering transgender artist delivers a profoundly moving, deeply spiritual record. 'The Ones Ahead' blends traditional singer-songwriter structures with West African polyrhythms and lush chamber pop instrumentation. His resonant, operatic baritone serves as the anchor for an album heavily focused on ancestral wisdom and environmental reverence.
