Album Notes & Community Reviews

Showcasing her remarkably pure, slightly girlish intonation, the tragically short-lived vocalist navigates a collection of antique standards and Tin Pan Alley material. The tasteful, understated orchestrations allow her incredibly nimble phrasing and emotional sensitivity to remain the focal point of the sessions. The album is a revered, deeply melancholic touchstone for aficionados of intimate 1950s vocal jazz.
