Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking their major-label debut after years as underground math-rock cult favorites, the Scottish trio significantly polished their complex sound for arena-sized alternative rock. Dealing heavily with Simon Neil's grief over the passing of his mother, the emotionally devastating record catapulted them to mainstream rock stardom in the UK.
