Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded amid the height of the UK miners' strike, the band's sophomore effort is steeped in working-class solidarity and political urgency. Stuart Adamson's soaring vocals and the group's signature bagpipe-emulating guitar tones drive expansive, arena-ready anthems. It debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, solidifying their status within the epic 'Big Music' movement of the era.
