Sitar Beat

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Spearheaded by the legendary British session guitarist, 'Sitar Beat' is an instrumental curiosity designed to capitalize on the rock world's sudden fascination with Eastern instrumentation. Sullivan utilizes the sitar to interpret contemporary pop hits and standard blues vamps, blending rhythmic Indian textures with swinging London pop sensibilities. The project stands as a prime example of the era's widespread, often superficial engagement with global music traditions.
