Immediately following the dissolution of Be-Bop Deluxe, the prolific guitarist radically reinvented his sound, completely embracing the jittery, synthesizer-heavy aesthetics of the new wave. The album features high-speed, robotic rhythms and incredibly dense layers of electronic textures, heavily colored by paranoid sci-fi lyricism. It is a brilliant, manic bridge between classic art rock and the eccentric complexities of the burgeoning Zolo movement.
