WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?', Billie Eilish delivers an avant-pop debut that merges hushed, intimate vocals with the minimalist yet bass-heavy bedroom production of her brother, Finneas O'Connell. The album's sound is defined by its blend of electropop with industrial and hip-hop textures, creating a backdrop for lyrical themes of lucid dreaming, mental health, and heartbreak, all filtered through a lens of dark humor and horror. This distinct sonic and thematic approach resulted in major critical and commercial success, including several Grammy Awards for Album, Record, and Song of the Year, cementing its status as a landmark release for a new generation of pop.
