Album Notes & Community Reviews

Defining the ultimate late-night, emotionally devastated pop aesthetic, this masterful collection captures the legendary vocalist interpreting songs of profound heartbreak and unrequited love. Her increasingly weathered, incredibly expressive voice is supported by a remarkably sensitive, blues-steeped ensemble featuring giants like Ben Webster and Harry 'Sweets' Edison. The unbearably intimate, profoundly melancholic performances stand as arguably the greatest, most devastatingly beautiful recordings of her late-career renaissance.
