Album Notes & Community Reviews

Considered a landmark of pre-Beatles British rock, this debut captures the singer's intense, surprisingly authentic emulation of American rockabilly. Featuring entirely original compositions, the raw, echoing production and his brooding, hiccup-heavy vocal delivery present a stark contrast to the highly sanitized teen-pop dominating the UK charts. It remains a highly respected, crucial document of early European rock and roll rebellion.
