Album Notes & Community Reviews

Captured live in Paris, this ferocious session presents the tenor saxophonist leading his quintet through sprawling, deeply emotive post-bop workouts. The compositions are deeply saturated in the fiery, spiritually intense aesthetic pioneered by John Coltrane, characterized by relentless rhythmic drive and massive, dense horn solos. It remains highly prized as one of the most powerful and uncompromising live acoustic jazz recordings of the era.
