Cacti

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The British singer-songwriter Tor Maries significantly expands her minimalist post-punk sound into broader, more atmospheric territories on her second full-length album. 'Cacti' leans heavily on driving drum machines and sleek synthpop arrangements, creating a rhythmic and heavily textured new wave backdrop. The record balances its catchy, alternative pop hooks with starkly honest and emotionally vulnerable lyricism.
