Album Notes & Community Reviews

Keyboard virtuoso Billy Preston completed his transition to the legendary Motown label with 'Music Is My Life'. While slightly tempering the psychedelic soul of his 1970s peak, the album is driven by robust, gospel-inflected funk and deeply melodic R&B arrangements. The recording highlights his consistently brilliant Hammond organ and synthesizer work alongside his soulful vocal delivery.
