Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded while he was still a teenager playing in Little Richard's touring band, 'The Most Exciting Organ Ever' captures Billy Preston's prodigious mastery of the Hammond B-3. The instrumental sessions fuse deeply rooted gospel cadences with the infectious, uptempo rhythms of emerging mid-60s soul jazz.
