Album Notes & Community Reviews

Showcasing the relaxed, conversational baritone that revolutionized vocal phrasing, this compilation features the iconic crooner interpreting essential early-century standards. His intimate use of the microphone bridges the gap between traditional jazz singing and mainstream commercial pop. The release solidifies his absolute dominance over American popular entertainment prior to the Second World War.
