Utopia

Co-produced with Arca, 'Utopia' represents a deliberate sonic pivot from the string-laden heartbreak of its predecessor, 'Vulnicura', building an airy, avant-garde world from a twelve-piece Icelandic flute ensemble, lush synthesizers, and harp. The album's sprawling 71-minute runtime explores themes of finding love and hope after loss, functioning as a proposal for an ecological and emotional paradise, with tracks often bridged by field recordings of birdsong to complete its immersive, organic soundscape.
