Album Notes & Community Reviews
Refining their exploration of Jewish diasporic music, the second album from this Montreal quartet incorporates Yiddish vocal traditions with modern chamber arrangements. '谞讬砖讟 讗讝妆 [Nisht Azoy]' features members of Thee Silver Mt. Zion and Sackville performing on acoustic instruments like cymbalum, violin, and mandolin. The record functions as both a preservation of cultural history and a contemporary reinterpretation of Eastern European folk structures.
