'Exeter' represents a major aesthetic pivot for Bladee, moving away from his previous icy depression toward a whimsical, spiritual, and minimalist sound. Recorded in Gotland with producer Gud over a brief session, the project utilizes sparse, playful instrumentation, hand-claps, and childlike melodies. It marks a foundational shift toward transcendental themes, incorporating uplifting, nature-focused imagery and fragile, high-pitched vocal textures.
