Album Notes & Community Reviews

Blancmange's 'Happy Families' pairs Neil Arthur's deadpan vocals with Stephen Luscombe's programmed synths and rhythms. The duo's debut includes the breakthrough single 'Living on the Ceiling' and blends electronic textures with art-pop sensibilities. The album established the pair as distinctive voices in the early 1980s British electronic scene.
