Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded shortly before his tragic murder in 1989, this stark club gig captures the mythic Texas songwriter's brilliant lyrical poetry and deeply world-weary delivery. The incredibly intimate, unadorned acoustic performance highlights the profound sadness and humor of an artist who operated entirely on the fringes of the country establishment.
