Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Jack Antonoff's indie-pop project dials back the 1980s synth-pop pastiche of prior releases in favor of organic, Springsteen-esque heartland rock. The album employs lush acoustic instrumentation, sweeping brass sections, and highly earnest vocal performances to explore themes of personal longing and bittersweet nostalgia. Notable for its high-profile collaborations, including Bruce Springsteen himself, the record aims for grand, cinematic stadium-pop emotionalism.
