Album Notes & Community Reviews
The 15 tracks were recorded in Atlanta in 1949 for the newly formed Atlantic Records, but only two songs, 'Kill It Kid' and 'Broke Down Engine Blues', were issued at the time, on a single that failed, and the session was forgotten for roughly twenty years. Played mostly solo on acoustic twelve-string, with sometime partner Curley Weaver possibly present on some tracks, the program includes 'Dying Crapshooter's Blues' and 'The Razor Ball'.
