Album Notes & Community Reviews
Produced by Terry Knight, the sophomore effort by the Fort Worth sextet secured their breakthrough success through the macabre, extended hit single 'D.O.A.'. The pressing leans heavily into dark, proto-doom atmospheres driven by Jim Rutledge's harrowing vocals and aggressive dual-guitar riffing. It stands as a commercial high point for early American heavy rock, capturing a deeply pessimistic undercurrent of the era.
