Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by Felix Pappalardi before his massive success with Mountain, this Boston-based outfit delivered a meticulously arranged set of soft psych[cite: 1]. 'Before the War' surrounds delicate, melancholic songwriting with intricate vocal harmonies, harpsichord, and pastoral string orchestration[cite: 1]. While largely ignored commercially, it remains a pristine example of the delicate baroque pop emerging from the East Coast[cite: 1].
