Album Notes & Community Reviews
Inspired directly by J.R.R. Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Rings', the Swedish multi-instrumentalist recorded this deeply atmospheric, instrumental concept album largely in a makeshift island studio. The lush, organ-dominated orchestrations and pastoral psychedelia eventually garnered massive international attention, helping to popularize early progressive rock aesthetics across Europe.
